We build homes and we deliver residential development. That covers extensions and new houses for private clients at one end, and multi unit schemes for developers and investors at the other. The two sides of the business feed each other. The discipline that a development site demands is the same discipline we bring to a family home.

What has not changed is how the work gets done. Directly employed site management, trades we have used for years, and one person you can ring who knows what is happening on your job.

We have moved away from small maintenance and one day jobs. It is not that we cannot do them, it is that the projects we are best at need our full attention, and splitting a team across twenty small jobs is how standards slip.

That means we take on fewer projects and give each of them proper management. If your project is smaller than our usual range we will tell you honestly and, where we can, point you towards someone who will look after you properly.

Design work, structural calculations and drawings are produced in house, which removes a layer of coordination and a common source of delay.

Health and safety is managed rather than assumed. Risk assessments, method statements and site inductions are in place on every job, not just the ones where somebody asks for them.

Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. We will travel further for development work where the scheme justifies it, but we do not stretch a team across the country to win a job. Being close enough to be on site the same morning matters more than most people realise.
